The OASA will provide exciting race events for Electric Mountain Bikes and Mountain Bikes. Contests for BMX Freestyle Park, scooter and escooters. OASA will also provide Skills and Safety Training Jamboree’s at various locations in Ontario.
OASA was on hand at the recent GNCC eMTB Racing Summit held at the Motorcycle Industry Councils offices in Irvine California February 5.
The 14 event Grand National Cross Country series recorded 17,380 entries in 2019 and introduced Electric Mountain Bikes at 7 of it’s events for the first time.
eMTB racing will take place at 8 of the events in 2020 including a special event August 1st at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.

Competition rules where discussed with a number of changes planned for 2020. Reports showed a large increase in TV and Social Media coverage in 2019 and plans are to expand coverage for 2020. Two new venues where introduced for 2020.
The Ontario Action Sports Association was represented by it’s CEO Carl Bastedo. Carl is the founder of the Toronto International Bicycle Show, 1987-2019 and Motopark, 1972-present. Motopark is Canada’s premier Off Road Riding Park which has recently added eMTB/MTB and BMX bicycles to it’s programs.
